The Donnelly Automotive Group has been a big supporter of the YMCA-YWCA in Ottawa for years. We support them in a lot of ways – from donating trucks for them to use at their summer camps to cash donations and other initiatives. Most years we also take part in their golf tournament. It’s always a good time and supporting the ‘Y’ and all the amazing things they do give us a sense of pride. It turns out this year’s golf tournament (the Y Golf Classic) was an incredible success and we received this thank you note from the organizing committee: On behalf of the Y Golf Classic organizing committee, thank you so much to all of our generous sponsors, supporters, donors, and of course all of those who joined us for a great day on the course. This has been a record-shattering year for the Y Golf Classic, with this year’s tournament raising over $206,000 in NET proceeds for the YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region! From swimming lessons and summer camps, to emergency and supportive housing programs, and everything in between, the Y’s programs are far-reaching within our community. Regardless of background, familial, or financial circumstances, we are able to continue to ensure that no one is ever turned away from accessing the Y , thanks to the support of our community donors and partners like each and every one of YOU.
