Halloween is always a fun, exciting time of year. Children and adults alike dress up, trick or treat, eat candy and generally end the fall season with a bang. While we munch away on candy, it’s important to remember that entirely too many people in Ottawa go to bed each night hungry. This mark’s Donnelly Ford’s third year taking part in the We Scare Hunger program. For the month of October we encourage staff, customers and anyone going by our dealership to stop by and drop off a few non-perishable food items. We also partner with a school each year. Students collect food for a few weeks; we then pick up the food, combine our own donations and bring everything to local food banks. Will any of this sell more cars? We’re not sure, but that’s not why we participate in programs like We Scare Hunger. A good business is about more than dollars and cents. A good business is part of a community. At Donnelly Ford community comes first.
