Ford Mustang: A Four-Door Sedan Coming Soon

The automotive industry is constantly evolving, and sometimes manufacturers go as far as defying conventions by adding models to their lineup that we never thought possible. Ten years ago, if someone had told me that the Mustang name would be attached to a 100% electric SUV, I would have said it was impossible.

So, you understand where I’m going with this if you’ve read the title. After the two-door sports coupe and the electric SUV, the American manufacturer is now considering marketing a four-door sedan version of the legendary Mustang. Moreover, that’s not all, as Ford also intends to develop a version with enhanced off-road capabilities. I know, at first glance, it seems rather ridiculous, but we must admit that Lamborghini and Porsche have found a lot of success with certain models in this niche.

A Powerful Name

The Ford Mustang is one of the most popular and legendary cars in the world. Until very recently, it was believed that it was impossible to develop anything other than a two-door sports car under this name. However, the arrival of the Mach-E SUV proved otherwise. Now, nothing is impossible for the Mustang name. Not to mention the Mustang GTD, which is popular despite its very steep price. It’s essentially a race car for the road, and that’s the kind of thing that particularly appeals to buyers.

The American manufacturer’s goal is to fully exploit the Mustang name by creating a performance division, literally. This is what top executives announced during a recent meeting in Las Vegas for dealers.

We know very little about the model for now, but it’s clear that a four-door version of the Mustang will see the light of day in the coming years. It’s very likely that a sporty sedan of this kind could attract a large number of buyers.

Even though this isn’t the first time in its history that the American manufacturer has talked about a four-door Ford Mustang, we must admit they’ve surprised us here. Unlike what was said in the past, the four-door Ford Mustang now seems closer than ever to production, and that’s what makes it so interesting. Moreover, one wonders what’s next, as nothing seems impossible for the Mustang lineup.
